More Deaths Than One

...for a man with a past; a man with more lives than one: Bryan Islip's new action-adventure story might rescue you from the desert sands, or it might not …

"Bryan Islip … in More Deaths Than One, has crafted a good old-fashioned page turner of a yarn - the sort of book you might grab at an airport en route to a holiday in the sun …

A novel touching on themes of revenge and injustice, and containing as much derring-do as the average James Bond thriller, More Deaths Than One is a pacey, satisfying and enjoyably diverting read which also manages to include a dash of romance and a drugs related conspiracy
theory.

Throw in a plot which resonates strongly in the war on terror era following the September 11 attacks on New York and you have a story that is potentially of interest to a very wide readership."

About Me

I was born in 1934. Yes, that makes me seventyfour. I was brought up in the south of England, leaving my school, for family reasons before my fifteenth birthday. A first job as, apprentice pharmacist at Boots the Chemist was interrupted by National Service in the Royal Air Force.

By the time I was twenty I was a civilian, working in a Cambridge builders merchant and dreaming of becoming a writer. But as is so often the case marriage, mortgage and moderation in all things took over. A satisfying career in industrial marketing and management within the packaging industries followed as our four children grew up.

My first wife died after many years of serious illness and I married Delia, becoming surrogate father to her two children in the process. We now have a total of fourteen much loved grandchildren.

Delia and I had long planned our move to our favourite holiday destination in the West Highlands. We gave up our businesses in the Middle East and migrated there in 2002. We brought along with us our pair of Hungarian vizsla dogs and our high hopes for the future… and here have found a deep contentment with the present.
